Shree Navbharat Chopda Bhandar

Our place, Shree Navbharat Chopda Bhandar, is at No-29 in the Ellisbridge Shopping Centre. It is a very central spot, right behind the Ellisbridge Police Station and just opposite the Town Hall. Because of that, there is always a lot of activity and police vehicles and people going to events at the hall. We have been here for quite some time, surrounded by all sorts of account books and stationery. The shopping centre is an old landmark in Ellisbridge, and we are just one of the many shops making a living here. We don't have any interest in sounding like a big polished company. We are just shopkeepers. Our shelves are usually pretty full and sometimes it’s hard to find a place to stand, but that is how a chopda bhandar should be. We spend our time helping people find the right ledgers or just chatting with the other shop owners in the centre. The noise from the street is constant, but it becomes like background music after a while. We aren't trying to sell you a dream, just providing the items we have in stock. If you are near the Town Hall, you can easily spot us. We open the shutters early and we don't leave until the last customer is gone. It is a very traditional way of doing things, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It is just a busy shop in a busy part of Ellisbridge.
