Shraddha High School

Shraddha High School is right in the middle of the Satellite area in Ahmedabad, which is usually very busy with traffic and people going to work. Being in such a central spot means there is always noise from the street, but once you step inside the school, it feels a bit more contained. We have been part of this neighborhood for years, and most of the shops nearby know our staff. The school doesn't have a massive campus with huge gardens, but we make use of every corner we have. The morning assembly happens in the small quadrangle, and it gets quite crowded when everyone is there. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements; we just rely on the fact that we have been here a long time. The desks are a bit scratched, and the walls have some marks from where students have leaned their bags. It is a very practical school. We follow the board rules and try to get the exams finished on time. Sometimes the water cooler breaks down and we have to get the local plumber to come fix it fast. Life here is fast-paced because Ahmedabad is like that, but inside the classrooms, things move at the usual steady pace of teaching. We drink our tea in the small staff room and discuss the upcoming holidays or the next set of tests. Usually there is a bit of dust in the air, but we keep on going with the lessons.
