Shomili Hair Cutting

Our shop, Shomili Hair Cutting, is tucked away in Behrampura at ML 11. If you are looking for us, we are near the Ujala Gas agency. That is the easiest way to find the street. We are also right opposite Vasant Rajjab Nagar. It is a very local area, not like the big commercial parts of Ahmedabad. We have been cutting hair here for a long time now, maybe more than fifteen years. The shop is small and very simple inside. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know how to handle a pair of scissors and a razor. The street outside is always full of activity, with children playing, bikes honking, and people going to work at all hours. We keep the front door open to let some air in, though it gets quite dusty because of all the traffic. There is a simple wooden bench for people to sit on while they wait their turn. We don't do appointments on the phone or anything fancy like that. You just come in, say hello to everyone, and wait a bit. We do basic haircuts and shaves for the men in the neighborhood. It is a place where people talk about their day, the cricket match, or the local news while getting a trim. We don't use any high-end machines, just the tools we have used for years. It’s an honest way to make a living. The shop isn't perfectly painted and the floor is a bit worn from all the walking, but it’s a real place for real people.
