Shiv Shakti Provision Stores

Shiv Shakti Provision Stores is located at 6 Krishna Vihar, right near the Shakun Bunglows on the Nikol Naroda Road. It’s a busy part of Ahmedabad, and there is always something going on outside. My day usually starts with dragging the shutters up and seeing what needs to be ordered. The shop is packed with all sorts of provisions, from different types of lentils to soaps and shampoos. It’s not a fancy supermarket, just a place where you can get what you need for the kitchen. I spend a lot of time weighing out items and bagging them up for the neighbors. The sun hits the front of the shop in the afternoon, so it gets quite warm, but we keep the fans going. I’ve known most of the families around Nikol Naroda for years now. We see their kids grow up and start coming in on their own to buy sweets or a cold drink. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized on the shelves, and sometimes I’m still tidying up long after the sun goes down. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is in order. It’s a practical kind of business. We focus on having the stuff people actually use every day. If the delivery is late, we just wait. That’s just how it goes here. Nothing is too complicated, and we like it that way.
