Shiv Ashish School

We've been here in Bopal for a good number of years now. Shiv Ashish School is just off the main road in Ahmedabad. It gets pretty busy around here in the mornings when the buses start arriving. Our gate stays open for parents coming by to ask questions or just to drop off lunch boxes their kids forgot. We have several classrooms spread out, and the playground usually has some dust kicking up when the kids are out there during break. It’s not a fancy place, but it works for what we need. The teachers mostly live nearby, so they know the neighborhood well. Sometimes the heat in Ahmedabad gets to be a bit much, but we have enough trees around the yard to keep some shade. We spend most of our day just making sure the kids are where they should be and that the lessons are moving along. There's always some noise coming from the music room or the sports ground, which is just how a school should be, I guess. We keep things pretty simple here. Most of the families in the area know us because their older kids came here too. It’s just a regular part of the community now. We try to keep the place tidy, though with hundreds of feet running around, it's a bit of a job. It’s a busy spot in 380058, but we like the energy. The local shops just outside the school gate are where most of us grab a quick snack after the bells ring.
