We actually have two different spots where we work. One is at 22 Avani Icon near the Hari Darsan Circle in New Naroda, right across from the Swaminarayan Temple. The other place is G-2 Soham Avenue, which is over by the Vastrapur lake near the Sahi Palace Hotel. Having two locations keeps us moving all day long. The Naroda shop is in a very busy area, especially during temple hours when there are lots of people walking around the circle. It’s a more traditional neighborhood. The Vastrapur location is a bit different because of the lake nearby, so we get a different kind of crowd there. Both shops are quite simple. We have basic racks for our clothes and a few mirrors on the walls. We spend a lot of time traveling between the two units to make sure the stock is balanced out. Sometimes we forget where we left a specific bag or a piece of paperwork because we are bouncing back and forth so much. The Naroda spot is usually where we do most of our sorting. We have a lot of bags and boxes piled up in the corners. It’s not a very polished operation, just us and our staff trying to stay organized while dealing with the heat and the traffic. We like being near the lake in the evenings when it gets a little cooler and the day is finally winding down.
