Shakti Engeenring Works

We are over at Shop No-4 in the Maheshwari Industrial Estate. If you know where the Hanuman Temple is in Rakhial, we’re right near there. It makes it easy for people to find the place. Things get pretty loud around here with the machines running most of the day. Shakti Engeenring Works isn't a huge place, just a regular shop where we handle engineering jobs as they come in. We’ve got a few old machines that still work better than the new ones sometimes. My hands are usually greasy by noon. That's just part of the job. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If the door is open, someone is inside working. The floor is concrete and there are scraps of metal in the corners sometimes. We try to sweep up every evening. Rakhial is a good spot for this kind of work because everyone around here is doing something similar. We talk to the neighbors a bit when we take breaks. Mostly we just focus on whatever part is on the bench that day. If it’s not right, we do it over. It’s pretty simple. No one here wears a suit. We wear clothes that we don't mind getting dirty. That’s how it’s been since we opened up. We just keep our heads down and get the tasks done one by one. It's a lot of work, but we are used to the noise and the grease.
