Service Engr

We’ve got our little workplace at number 35, Dhanakaka No Khancho, in the Odhav area of Gujarat. The name on the board is Service Engr. We have been in this part of Ahmedabad for a long time now. The pincode here is 382415. Odhav is an industrial kind of place, so there is always something that needs fixing or servicing. Our shop is right in the middle of it all. It is not a polished office with air conditioning and glass doors, it is a real workshop where the floor gets a bit dirty and the hands get greasy. That is just the nature of the work we do. We take in jobs from all over the local area. Some are small and take ten minutes, others keep us occupied for days. We don't really have a big philosophy about it, we just do the work that is in front of us. Living in Gujarat, you get used to the heat and the busy markets. We have built our life around this little spot in Dhanakaka No Khancho. People around here know us and they know where to bring their equipment when it acts up. It is a steady existence, focused on tools and technical problems. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the tasks of the day, making sure every bit of machinery that leaves here is working like it should before we close up for the night.
