Our salon is located in the Maurya Atririya building in Bodakdev. We are tucked away right under the Talwakar Gym. If you know the street opposite Aatithi Dining Hall, that is where you will find us. It is a pretty well-known part of Ahmedabad, so people usually do not have much trouble finding the place. We focus on hair and beauty stuff, just the usual things people need. The building is modern, but our shop feels quite down-to-earth. We hear the sounds from the gym upstairs sometimes, but it is mostly just the hum of the hair dryers in here. We spend our days mostly on our feet. There is always someone needing a trim or a skin treatment. We do not make big promises. We just use what we know and try to make people look decent. It is a simple way to make a living. The street outside always has people going for lunch at the dining hall. We have gotten to know a lot of the regulars over the years. We keep our towels fresh and our scissors sharp. There is not a corporate office telling us what to do. It is just us running the show. We like the Bodakdev area because it is always lively. Our space is not huge, but we have made it work for us. If you are walking past the gym, you might see us through the window. We are usually busy with someone in the chair. (251 words)
