Sarthak Architects & Interior Design

We’ve been here at 4/B Harekrishna Apartment for quite some time now. It is right near the Canara Bank in Maninagar, which makes it pretty easy for people to find us when they are coming over for a meeting. Ahmedabad-08 is a busy part of town, and our office reflects that. There’s usually a lot of paper everywhere, mostly floor plans and fabric swatches for the interior design side of things. We aren't really a huge fancy firm with a glass building. It’s just us in an apartment building doing the work. Usually, the day starts with someone making tea and then we just get into the drawings. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, but you get used to it. People drop by to talk about their houses or shops. We spend a lot of time on our computers but also move around a lot checking on things. It’s not always glamorous. Sometimes we are just arguing over where a light switch should go or why a wall isn’t lining up right. It is a lot of back and forth with contractors and clients. We like being in this part of Maninagar because everything we need is close by. Sarthak Architects & Interior Design is basically just a group of us trying to make sense of spaces. We don't have a big receptionist or a lobby. You just walk in and we're there working. It's a simple setup but it works for what we do every day.
