Designarch

Designarch is located at H-8 in the Cept Hostel area of Navranpura, Ahmedabad. It’s a unique spot because we are right in the middle of all the student energy and the university buildings. There’s always someone walking by or a group of students talking about their projects. We focus on architectural design and planning. Our office isn't very large. It’s a humble space filled with rolls of blueprints, pencils, and computer screens. Ahmedabad is a city that has a lot of interesting buildings, so it’s a good place for us to be. We aren't a high-end firm with a big lobby or a receptionist in a suit. You just have to come to the hostel area and find us at H-8. We spend most of our time looking at site plans and discussing materials. When the heat gets too bad in the afternoon, we usually take a break for some local snacks from the nearby stalls. We don’t have a fancy website with professional photos. We just show the work we’ve actually completed. We try to do our site visits early in the morning before the sun gets too high. It can be a lot of hard work, and my desk is usually a mess of sketches and notes. We just enjoy the process of seeing a design go from a drawing to a real building. It’s a straightforward way to work. We don't try to be something we're not.
