Sager Hair Art

Sager Hair Art is my small shop in Panchkuva. We are near the Bicycle Market, which means it is always noisy outside with the sounds of metal and people haggling over prices. Being in Ahmedabad 380001 is busy, especially near the Panch Kuwa Derwaj where the traffic never seems to stop. I open the shop early in the morning, sweep the floor, and get the chairs ready for whoever comes in first. It is a simple place with just the basic stuff you need for a haircut or a shave. We do not have any air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that spins fast to keep the heat away as much as it can. Most of the people who come here are workers from the market or locals who have lived in this part of town for their whole lives. We have some old mirrors that have been on the walls for years, but they still work fine for seeing what we are doing. Sometimes the dust from the street gets inside, so I have to wipe things down a lot. It is a humble living and we do not try to make it more than it is. If you are walking through the market and need to sit down for a bit while getting your hair trimmed, you can find us there. We don't have a website or anything, just the shop and our hands to do the work every day.
