Safeguard General Stores

Running Safeguard General Stores here in Ahmedabad takes up most of my time. It’s a basic general store where we keep the essentials in stock for the 380001 community. We don’t have any big marketing plans or a website. Most people find us because they live just a few houses down or work nearby. The shop is filled with everything from cleaning supplies to small snacks. The shelves are old wood, and sometimes they creak when I put new stock on them. It’s just how things are. We try to keep prices fair so people keep coming back. Sometimes the kids come in after school for a treat, and that’s usually the loudest part of the day. Otherwise, it’s just the sound of the radio in the background and the occasional customer asking for something we might have tucked in the back. I spend a lot of time checking expiration dates and dusting off the bottles. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We are just a local shop that stays open late enough for the workers coming back from their shifts. If you need a light bulb or some sugar, we probably have it sitting somewhere on the shelf in the corner.
