Our small unit is at B/61 in Panchavati Park, which is part of the Ambica Nagar area in Odhav. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s a good spot for us. We’ve been set up here for several years now, and the neighbors have mostly gotten used to the sound of our work. We do a lot of engineering stuff, mostly custom bits and pieces that people need for their own factories or shops. The space inside is a bit tight because we’ve squeezed in as many machines as we could. You have to be careful where you walk so you don't trip over a pile of iron bars. We don’t have a secretary or anyone to answer the phones, so if we’re in the middle of a job, we might not hear it ringing over the noise. Usually, people just drop by and talk to us directly. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We spend a lot of time measuring things and making sure everything is square. In the evenings, once we turn the machines off, the silence feels a bit strange. Odhav is a busy place, but our little corner of Panchavati Park feels like home to us. We aren't trying to grow into some huge corporation; we just want to keep doing what we’re good at and earn a fair living. It’s hard work, but there’s a certain satisfaction in seeing a finished part.
