S L Shah Engineering & Consultants

We are over at the Harikrupa Flat in Naranpura, right near the railway crossing. S L Shah Engineering & Consultants is our name, but mostly people just know us as the guys in Plot B-6 who are always buried in drawings and technical specs. Being so close to the Naranpura railway crossing means we hear the trains go by all day long. You’d think it would be distracting, but after a few weeks, you don’t even notice the noise anymore. Our office is a bit cramped because we have so many folders and old project files stacked up against the walls. We do a lot of consulting work, which basically means people come to us when they have a problem they can’t figure out on their own. It could be about a building or a piece of machinery; it just depends on the day. We spend a lot of time on the phone or sitting at our desks peering at computer screens. It’s a quiet kind of busy. Naranpura is a good spot for us because it’s easy for clients to drop in, though finding parking near the flats can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We aren’t trying to be the biggest firm out there. We just like solving the puzzles that come with engineering. It’s what we’ve always done, and being here in this old building feels right for the kind of work we do.
