We are tucked away on the second floor of Kashmira Chambers. It’s right behind Popular House in Navrangpura. People know us as S G Chona & Com, and sometimes as part of the Havmour Group. Ashram Road is always moving, but up here in the office, things are a bit more focused. We’ve been around this part of Ahmedabad for a long time now. You see the city change through the windows over the years. Some days the elevator is a bit slow, so we take the stairs. It’s just how it is. We handle a lot of things from this office. It’s not a fancy setup with glass walls and modern art, just desks and files and people working. We have a history here that goes back quite a bit. My father and the people before him put a lot of time into this name. When you walk in, you’ll see we keep things pretty practical. There’s always someone on the phone or looking over some papers. Navrangpura has grown so much since we first started out. Finding a parking spot near Popular House is a real headache these days, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest thing in the world, just keeping the business running and doing what we know how to do. It’s a family kind of atmosphere even though it’s a group of companies. We just show up and do the work.
