Riverside School

We have been operating Riverside School for quite a few years now. The building is tucked away right behind the C.S.D Depot, which makes it a bit hidden if you aren't looking for it. It's just off the main Airport Road in the Cantonment area. Most of us arrive early in the morning before the traffic really picks up. The school isn't anything fancy to look at, just some solid brick buildings and a yard where the kids spend their time. We don't have those big glass windows you see on the new offices around here. It gets fairly noisy because of the planes flying into the nearby airport, so we often have to pause for a second while they pass over. The classrooms have these old wooden desks that have been around since I started working here. We spend a lot of our day just making sure the kids are in their seats and the chalkboards are clean. The staff room is a small space where we keep our bags and drink tea during the short breaks. It’s usually cluttered with notebooks and old registers. Sometimes the fans make a clicking sound that drives us a bit crazy, but we just ignore it. Parents often drop by to ask about their kids or complain about the bus being late. We just listen and try to help out where we can. It’s a simple, busy life here in Cantonment.
