Our office at B-59, Harbholanath Park is right near the National Highway-8 in Odhav. Being so close to the highway means there is a constant sound of trucks and traffic going by. It’s a busy industrial kind of area, which fits what we do at Reliance Engineering Associates Ltd. The building isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a regular structure in a row of others near Ramrajyanagar. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and a lot of technical manuals. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. Usually, the door is open to let some air in, even if it brings in a bit of dust from the road. We spend most of our time coordinating with different teams and checking over project details. It’s a local operation and we know most of the people working in the nearby shops. When we need a break, we just walk out to the main road for a quick snack or a tea. The space is a bit cluttered with rolls of drawings and old computer monitors, but we know where everything is. It’s an honest place where we put in the hours every day. It isn't polished, but it’s where the actual work happens. We focus on getting the details right and keeping our records straight without worrying about how the office looks to outsiders. It’s a bit noisy, but we are used to it by now.
