Reapal Hair N Care.

Reapal Hair N Care is right in Shop No-3 of the Hari Darshan Complex. If you know Maninagar Road, you’ve probably walked past us a dozen times without noticing. We are right opposite the HDFC Bank, which is actually helpful because people use the bank as a landmark to find the shop. I spend most of my day here between the chairs and the sink. Maninagar is always moving, so there is usually a lot of noise from the bikes and cars outside. Inside, it's a bit quieter. We focus on hair stuff mostly, cutting and coloring when someone asks for it. The walls have some posters on them that have been there since we opened. They’re getting a bit old now, but they give the place a familiar feel. I’ve lived in Ahmedabad all my life and working in this complex feels right. Some days are packed and we’re running around trying to keep up, and other days it’s just me and a cup of chai waiting for the next person to walk in. We don’t really do big advertising or anything like that. Most people who come in live nearby or work at the shops around here. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure people leave looking a bit better than when they came in. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so I’m always sweeping.
