Reach General Stores

If you walk down the street in Ahmedabad 380001, you will find Reach General Stores. It is not a very large place, but we managed to fit a lot of inventory inside. We sell everything from light bulbs to snack food and cleaning supplies. Most of the day is spent talking to customers and rearranging the jars of candy on the front desk. The floor is made of simple stone and it stays relatively cool even when it is boiling outside. We don't have a fancy website or anything. If someone needs to know if we have something, they just walk in and ask. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a minute while they buy their daily milk. We have been part of this community for quite a while now. The shelves are made of wood and they are starting to sag a bit from the weight of all the canned goods and bottles. We keep a ledger for everything we sell and we spend our evenings making sure the accounts match up. It is honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a local general store trying to stay stocked up for the people who live in this part of town. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and standing on our feet, but that is just how it goes. We are here every day except for some holidays.
