Ram Raj Shah General Stores

Ram Raj Shah General Stores is a small spot in Ahmedabad that has been around for quite some time. We are right in the middle of the 380001 area, so there’s always something happening outside. Inside, it’s a bit more quiet. We have bins and shelves full of the regular stuff people need for their kitchens and homes. It’s mostly just me and a helper keeping the place going. We don't have a big corporate office or anyone telling us what to do. We just look at what people are buying and try to get more of that. Sometimes we run out of things because we didn't expect so many people to want the same item at once. That’s just part of the business. The floors are concrete and the lighting is a bit dim in the corners, but we know where every single item is located. We talk to the customers about the weather or the local news while we bag their items. It’s a simple way to make a living. We aren’t trying to compete with the big malls. We just want to be the place you can walk to in five minutes when you realize you’re out of tea leaves. That’s why we stay here and keep the door open for everyone.
