B. T. Engineers

B. T. Engineers is located at number 15 in the Small Scale Industries Estate in Rakhiyal. We are right near the Gujarat Bottling plant, which makes us easy to find if you know the area. Our shop isn't the cleanest place because we are always working with metal and machines. There is usually a lot of noise and oil around, but that is how a real engineering workshop looks. We focus on repairs and making small parts for other factories nearby. I started this place years ago with just a couple of old lathes and a welding machine. Now we have a bit more equipment, but the way we work is still the same. We take the drawings or the broken parts people bring in and we try to fix them up or make new ones. It is hard to find good apprentices these days who want to get their hands dirty, so it is mostly just me and a few guys who have been here forever. Sometimes we stay late when a customer has a machine down and needs a part urgently. We don't have a front desk or a receptionist. If you come by, you just walk into the shed and find someone. It’s a busy life here in the industrial estate, but we like being part of the local manufacturing scene in Rakhiyal.
