Rajasthan Hair Art

We are based at Jaypunj Complex on Shahpur Road. Our shop is number 17/A and it is up on the first floor. It is a busy area, just outside the Shahpur Gate and very close to the petrol pump. You can usually hear the cars and bikes filling up gas from our window. We have been doing hair art here for quite a while. Most of our work is with the men from around Shahpur who need a quick trim or a clean shave before they go to work. The shop isn't very big, but we have managed to fit in everything we need. We have the mirrors along the wall and the tools kept in little drawers. It is a very traditional kind of place. We don't use fancy machines, just the usual scissors and razors. The lighting is just normal tube lights and we keep the windows open for some air. It gets busy in the mornings and then again in the evenings when everyone is heading home. Sometimes we just sit and watch the traffic go by the gate when there are no customers. It is a simple way of living and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. We are just local barbers doing our job in a part of town that we know well. We don't have any big plans, just keeping the shop open for the regulars who have supported us over the years.
