R. P. Engineers

R. P. Engineers is located in Phase No III of the G.I.D.C. Estate in Naroda, at K1/48/3B. It’s a typical industrial area, lots of trucks and the smell of grease and metal everywhere. We’ve been part of this estate for quite a while now. Our shop isn't huge, but we have enough room for our lathes and the welding equipment. Most of our days are spent in overalls, getting our hands dirty and making sure the parts we produce are what they need to be. It gets pretty hot in Naroda during the summer, especially inside a tin-roofed shed, so we keep the big fans running all day long. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff, we just rely on people knowing we are here and what we can do. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the G.I.D.C. who need something fixed or a custom piece made for their machines. We aren't big on talking, we just get the specs and start cutting the metal. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought it would because a tool breaks or the material isn't right, but we always finish it eventually. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. After work, we usually just lock up and head home like everyone else in the estate. There’s no secret to it, just showing up and doing the job. We keep a small notebook for orders but mostly we just remember who needs what and when they need it.
