R. K. Hair Art

You’ll find R. K. Hair Art on the upper level of the Veermurti Complex. We are in Shop No 10, right on Gurukul Road. It’s a pretty busy street, especially since we’re near the Gurukul Cross Roads and just opposite the Oxford Tower. Being on the upper level means we get a bit of a break from the noise of the street level, though you can still hear the city moving. We’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. Our shop is simple. We have the chairs, the mirrors, and our scissors. We don't try to make it look like something out of a magazine. It’s just a place to get your hair done. A lot of our customers are folks who live or work around Gurukul. They know us and we know them. It makes the day go by faster when you can chat with friends while you work. We open the shutters early and start our routine. There’s no big secret to what we do. We just pay attention to what the person wants and we do our best. The neighborhood has seen a lot of new buildings go up, but we’ve stayed right here. We like being a steady part of the street. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. We don't have a mission statement or any of that. We just cut hair and keep the shop running. We are glad to be here.
