You'll find us at shop number 8 in the Ilaz Complex. We are located in Maninagar East, very close to the railway crossing. The Kashi Vishwanath Mahadev temple is nearby, so it’s a very easy spot to locate for most people. The sound of the trains passing by is something we've just gotten used to over the years. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of foot traffic. Our shop is a straightforward place for a haircut. We have the traditional barber chairs and the big mirrors on the wall. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done. We’ve been cutting hair here for a long time. Mostly men and boys from the area come in. Sometimes we have a queue out the door, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week. We have a small TV in the corner that’s usually on a news channel or a cricket match. It keeps people occupied while they wait. The floor gets dusty because of the road outside, so we are always sweeping. We don't do appointments; you just show up and wait your turn like everyone else. It’s a fair system. We talk about local news, the weather, and whatever else is going on in Maninagar. It’s just a regular shop where you can get a decent cut without any fuss. We’ve known some of our customers since they were toddlers. It’s a good life.
