Poojas Beauty Care N Classes is up on the 4th floor of the Asthamangal building. We are at number 418 in Shahibaug, Ahmedabad. It’s near the Rajasthan Hospital. Being on the 4th floor means people have to take the lift or climb the stairs, but they still find us. I started this place to do beauty work and also to teach others. We have a few rooms set up. One is for the parlour work and the other is where the classes happen. It’s not a massive space, but we use it well. Most of the ladies who come here live in the 380004 area. We do things like bridal makeup, hair styling, and skin stuff. The classes are for girls who want to learn how to do this as a job. It’s a bit noisy when the classes are full because everyone is talking at once. I try to keep things practical. We don't have those expensive lights you see in big salons. We just use what we can afford. Sometimes the hospital area gets very busy with ambulances and traffic. I've been in Shahibaug for years and I like the community here. We don't do much advertising. People tell their friends and that’s how we keep going. It’s a lot of standing all day, which makes my feet tired. But seeing someone happy with their new look is okay. My family helps out sometimes when it gets really hectic.
