N. K. Industries

Down here in Vatva, specifically at Plot No. 1521 in Phase-3, things stay pretty busy. This part of GIDC is always humming with some kind of activity. N. K. Industries is tucked into this spot where we’ve set up our equipment and workspace. It isn't anything like those corporate offices you see in the city center. We’ve got oil on the floor sometimes and the smell of metal in the air. That’s just the nature of the work we do. Most of the guys live nearby and walk or bike over. We spend most of the day troubleshooting whatever issues pop up with the machines or making sure the orders are ready to go out. Phase-3 is a bit crowded, and sometimes the lorries block the entrance to Plot 1521, but we manage to get things moving. It’s a practical way to earn a living. We have a small tea stall just a few steps away where we go when we need a break from the noise inside. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the desk in the corner is piled with old ledgers and papers. We don't worry much about how the place looks to outsiders as long as the work is moving along as it should. It’s a straightforward operation. We just show up, do what needs doing, and head home when the sun goes down. There isn't much more to it than that.
