We are based at Plot No-1 in Phase-2 of the Gidc Estate over in Vatva. Ambica Pharma Machine Pvt. Ltd. is basically a factory where we put together machinery for the pharmaceutical industry. The shop floor is always full of stainless steel parts because that’s what the industry needs. We spend a lot of time polishing surfaces and making sure the gears move without sticking. It’s precision work, but we do it in a very regular, blue-collar environment. Vatva is a busy industrial hub, so there is always noise from the neighboring units. We’ve been at this corner of the estate for a long time. The building isn't brand new, but it serves its purpose. We have a loading bay where the finished machines get crated up and sent out. The guys working here are mostly locals who have been in the trade for years. We don't use big words to describe our business. We make machines, we test them, and we send them out. It’s a lot of manual labor and technical checking. Sometimes the drawings from the designers are hard to read, and we have to figure it out as we go. We don't have any flashy slogans. We just show up at the Gidc Estate every morning and get to work on the next assembly. It’s a steady pace and we keep our heads down.
