Apollo Industries

Apollo Industries is situated at Plot No. 1117 in Phase-3 of the GIDC in Vatva. It’s right in the middle of a very busy industrial zone. Most mornings, the traffic getting into the estate is a bit of a nightmare, so we try to get here before the rush. Our building is a simple structure that’s been added onto a few times over the years. Inside, it’s a mix of storage racks and workstations. We do a bit of everything here, mostly focused on industrial supplies. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed among the staff, though we work hard when the orders pile up. We have an old fridge in the corner that we use for cold water, which is a lifesaver in the Ahmedabad heat. Our neighbors are mostly in the same boat, dealing with the same power cuts and water issues that pop up from time to time. We don't use any fancy management software; most of our notes are kept in thick registers or on scraps of paper pinned to a corkboard. It’s a practical way of running things that works for us. We know our regular customers by their voices on the phone. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. The name on the gate is enough for people to find us. It’s just a group of local people putting in their hours and making sure the business stays afloat for another year.
