We’ve been here at No. 15 in the Karnawati Industrial Estate for a while now. It’s a busy spot near Ramol Char Rasta in Vatva G.I.D.C., and things are always moving around here. You can hear the machines running from early morning until the sun goes down. Most of our days are spent looking at blueprints or fixing parts for the gear we build. It’s dusty work, but it keeps us busy. We mostly deal with the equipment that pharmaceutical companies need to get their products out. Sometimes the traffic at the Char Rasta gets a bit much when we’re trying to move a big piece of machinery out the door. The guys in the shop know every bolt and screw by heart. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. You’ll usually find someone with grease on their hands or a coffee cup sitting on a workbench. It’s just how things are in this part of Vatva. We’ve grown used to the noise and the rhythm of the industrial estate. It is not a quiet place to work, but it’s where we belong. People stop by to ask about spare parts or just to see how a project is coming along. We keep the doors open and just keep at it, day after day, without making much of a fuss about it.
