Out here in Rakhial, specifically at Harshad Estate, things are pretty industrial. We are at number 31. You might know the area near Margha Farm or Mamta Nagar. It’s a bit of a trek to get here through the Virat Nagar Char Rasta, but once you’re in Bapu Nagar, you’ll find us. At Persist Pharma Engineers, we deal with the mechanical side of the pharmaceutical world. That means a lot of steel, welding, and precise measurements. The workshop is always a bit loud because of the machines running, and there’s usually some metal shavings on the floor that we need to sweep up. It’s not a clean-room environment like the labs our machines go into; it’s where the hard work of building things happens. We’ve got a small office space carved out in the corner where the phone rings more than we’d like. The guys here have been working with their hands for decades, and they don't talk much while they’re focused on a piece of equipment. We take our breaks together and talk about the news or the weather over some hot chai. It’s a honest way to make a living. We don't have any big slogans, just the sound of tools and the smell of cutting oil. It’s just a regular day of engineering for us in the estate, making sure the parts fit and the machines run right before they get shipped out.
