Puram is a nice area, though parking can be a real pain if you arrive at the wrong time of day. Our office isn't one of those glass-walled places you see in magazines; it’s more of a working space filled with rolls of paper, samples of stone, and way too many coffee mugs. We spend most of our hours sitting at the big tables sketching things out or arguing over where a door should go. It gets pretty loud when everyone is talking at once, but that’s just how we work through ideas. We don’t have a fancy receptionist or anything like that. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just lets people in. We've been at No. 45 for a while now, and the locals know us as the people who are always carrying big blueprints across the street. It’s a quiet enough spot once you’re inside, away from the main road noise. We take our work seriously, but we don't act like we’re better than anyone else. Most of our days are just spent trying to figure out how to make a space look decent without spending a fortune. It’s a lot of back and forth with contractors and suppliers, which keeps us busy from morning until late evening most days of the week.
