Parshwanath General Stores is right here at 137 Bapu Nagar in Ahmedabad. We are very close to the New Bapunagar Bus Stand, which makes it a very busy area for us. Since we are near the bus stop, we get all kinds of people coming in—travelers looking for a quick snack and locals who live in the surrounding streets. I’ve lived in Ahmedabad all my life, and running this store feels like a good way to stay connected to the city. We stock basic groceries, toiletries, and some stationery too. The shop isn't modern by any means, but it does the job. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fan going full blast. We try to keep prices fair because we know our customers well. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late, and we have to explain why we’re out of a certain brand of oil or biscuits. It’s just part of the daily routine. We open early in the morning and don't close until late evening. It’s a small space, so things can get a bit cluttered, but we manage. If you’re waiting for a bus at the Bapu Nagar stand, you’ll probably see us right across the way. We don't have any help, just our family members taking turns at the counter. It's a bit of a squeeze when more than three people walk in at once, but we make it work somehow. We are just a plain shop for plain needs.
