Opera Family Hair Saloon

Our saloon is on the ground floor of Vidita Avenue, over in the Maninagar area. We are right near Pramukh Palace, which is a pretty big landmark around here that most people know. If you are familiar with Jay Hind Char Rasta, we are just a short walk away from that junction. We call it a family hair saloon because we see everyone here, from the little kids to the grandfathers. It is a busy little spot in Ahmedabad and we have tried to make it a place where any regular person can feel okay coming in. The shop floor is simple and we just try to keep all our tools and combs clean. Maninagar is a great area with lots of houses and other small shops nearby, so there is always plenty of foot traffic. Sometimes the street gets a bit blocked up with scooters and cars but that is just how life is in this part of town. We open up the shutters in the morning and stay open until late so folks can come in after they finish their jobs. It is not a corporate kind of place, just a local business run by people who know the neighborhood well. We have seen a lot of local kids grow up and start coming in for their own haircuts now. We don't do much advertising, mostly people just find us.
