Our shop is at 28/1 in the Shiromani Complex. It’s right across from the Baroda Express Highway here in Ahmedabad. If you’re looking for us, we are in the Karnavati Society section, specifically C. T. M. It is easy to spot because we are right opposite the Karnavati Prathmic Shala. You can usually hear the kids playing during recess if the windows are open. The complex itself is quite busy with all sorts of different businesses. We deal with both surgical supplies and general medicines. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and checking expiration dates. The space isn't huge, so we have to be pretty careful about how we stack things so we don't run out of room. The highway noise is a constant backdrop to our workday, but it makes us feel like we are in the middle of everything. We spend a lot of our time talking to suppliers and making sure we have what people are looking for. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s important work for the neighborhood. We’ve got a couple of old chairs in the back where we take our lunch breaks. Most of the time, we’re just focusing on the next delivery coming in. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We’ve been part of this community for a while now and we know the regulars who pass by the school every day.
