You can find The Anup Engineering Ltd. over on Odhav Road at Plot No. L-8/P. We are situated right behind the 66 Kv electrical sub-station, which is a massive thing you can’t really miss. The hum from the station is constant, a low background noise we have all grown used to over the years. Our site is a bit bigger than some of the others nearby, which is good because we have some pretty large pieces of equipment that take up a lot of room. The yard is usually full of trucks coming in to drop off raw materials or pick up finished loads. It gets quite dusty when the wind picks up on Odhav Road, so we spend a lot of time cleaning off the work surfaces. We don’t have a polished showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in our work clothes, probably with some grease on our hands. It’s a straightforward operation where the focus is on the machines and the output. We have a small office area, but it’s mostly used for storing files and taking a quick lunch break. The workers here have been around for a long time, so everyone knows their role without being told. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, especially when there’s a big order to get out, but that is just how things go.
