Shree Krishna Engineering

Shree Krishna Engineering is based over at Plot No. 106 in the G. V. M. M. area. It’s one of those places where you always have a bit of grease under your fingernails. The shop isn’t huge, but we make use of every inch of the floor space. We have some lathes and drills that have seen better days but still run fine if you know how to handle them. The G. V. M. M. estate is usually humming with the sound of other shops doing the same kind of heavy work. We usually start the day with a cup of tea from the stall around the corner before we get the motors running. The air in here smells like cutting oil and cold metal. It can get pretty cramped when we have a big project on the floor, and you have to watch where you step so you don’t trip over a stray pipe or a crate. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just focus on the drawings and the parts in front of us. Some days are long, especially when a machine breaks down and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it instead of working on orders. It’s just honest labor in a concrete shed. We don’t have any fancy posters on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few old tools hanging up.
