Laxmi Pharma Machines

Our place is Laxmi Pharma Machines and you can find us at number 75 in the Bileshwar Industrial Estate. We are right across from the G.V.M.M. area, which is a big landmark around here. The Ring Road is very close, and we sit on the road that connects Odhav to Kathwada. It’s a very active part of town with a lot of trucks moving in and out all day long. The workshop is where we spend all our time. We build machines for pharmaceutical companies, so there is always the sound of welding or grinding going on. It’s a bit cramped inside because we have so many parts and half-finished frames sitting around. We don’t have a fancy showroom. If you want to see what we are making, you just walk onto the floor and look at what’s on the benches. The floor is concrete and usually has some metal shavings on it. We try to sweep up at the end of the day, but by next morning it's back to being a working shop. The heat in Odhav can be tough during the summer, so we have a few big fans blowing all the time. Our office is just a small partitioned space in the corner with a desk and a couple of chairs for visitors. It’s a simple way to work, and we like the grit of being in an industrial estate like Bileshwar.
