Nirman High School

Our school is right in Vastrapur, sitting right opposite Shabri Apartment. If you know the area, you know it’s a busy part of town. There’s always traffic and people moving around. The school building is pretty easy to spot. We’ve been here for quite some time now. Most of the kids live in the apartments nearby, so a lot of them just walk or cycle to school. It’s a high school, so the students are a bit older and sometimes a bit louder. We have the usual subjects and the usual exams that everyone has to take. The classrooms aren't anything special, just places for learning. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day's plans. Vastrapur is a good location, even if it gets a bit hectic during the monsoon when the roads get muddy. We try to keep the gate area clear, but it’s tough when parents come to pick up their kids. We don't really do anything fancy here. It’s just about getting the students through their grades so they can go to college later on. We like it here because we are close to everything. It feels like a real part of the neighborhood. Nothing more, nothing less. Just a school in the middle of a busy city suburb. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot, but we just keep doing what we’ve always done. It’s a long day, but we manage.
