Nice Salon

Nice Salon is over at Shop No-27 in the Siddhi Vinayak Estate Shopping Center. We are right on Sukhramnagar Road in Amraiwadi. It’s a busy part of Ahmedabad, especially near New Cotton Cross Road. I started this place because I know how to cut hair and wanted a spot of my own. It is just a small shop with a few chairs and big mirrors on the wall. The morning starts early here when I sweep the floor and get the tools ready. Sometimes the fans make a bit of noise, but they keep the air moving when it gets really warm outside. Most of the people who come in live right around here or work in the nearby shops. They just want a decent trim or a shave before they head off to their jobs. We don’t have fancy coffee or anything like that, just a bench where you can sit and wait if there is a queue. Usually, there’s some music playing on a small radio in the corner. It’s not a big corporate place, just a local shop where you can get your hair done without any fuss. The neighbors often stop by just to say hello or talk about the weather while they wait for their turn. It’s a simple routine every day, but I like being part of the community here in Amraiwadi.
