New Janta Hair Art

New Janta Hair Art is right near Raipur Chakla, close to Chabila Mandir. This part of Ahmedabad is always busy with people going to the temple or the market. We have been here for a good while now. The shop is small and has the usual chairs you see in any local place. There is a bench for waiting and some old newspapers usually lying around. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going as much as we can. We do regular haircuts and shaves for the men in the neighborhood. Most of the people who come here have been visiting us for years, so we know their names and how they like their hair done. It is not a fancy place with air conditioning or big signs. It is just a simple shop with mirrors and scissors. We open up in the morning and stay until the evening when the street gets quiet. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait on Sundays because that is when everyone is off from work. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just walk in when they need a trim. The floor gets covered in hair quickly, so we are always sweeping it up between customers. It is just honest work that we do every day to keep the local folks looking decent enough for their jobs and families.
