New A-One Salon

New A-One Salon is over at Shop No 2 in the Maruti Complex. We are on Daxini Road in Maninagar. If you know the Maninagar Railway Crossing, we are right opposite that. It can get pretty noisy when the trains go by and the horns are blowing. But we are used to it by now. The shop is small and sits on the ground floor. It’s easy for people to just pop in when they are waiting for the crossing to open. We do haircuts and shaves for the men in the neighborhood. Maninagar 380008 is a busy place to work. We have a couple of old chairs that are still very comfortable. We don't have a computer or anything for bookings. We just write things down or remember the faces. Some of our customers have been coming here since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids for their first cuts. The floor is tile and we sweep it about ten times a day to keep the hair from piling up. We don't have a fancy coffee bar or music playing. Usually, the sound of the trains and the traffic is our music. It’s a simple, honest shop. We open early in the morning and stay until the last customer is done for the night. It's just a regular local salon for regular people.
