Naaz Beauty Salon

Naaz Beauty Salon is up on the first floor of the Paradise Complex in Mirzapur. We’re right across from Qureshi Hall and not too far from the Lakhiya Garage. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of movement. Our shop, FF/6, is a simple place. We’ve been here serving the local women for quite some time. It’s the kind of salon where neighbors come to chat while they get their eyebrows done or their hair colored. We don’t have a fancy reception desk or a lot of high-tech gadgets. We have our chairs, our mirrors, and our tools. It’s a bit of a walk up the stairs, but people don’t seem to mind. The light in the complex isn't always the best, but we’ve set up enough lamps to see what we’re doing. We mostly do the standard stuff like threading, waxing, and hair cuts. We know a lot of the families around here since Mirzapur is a tight-knit area. It can get pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going. We aren't trying to be a celebrity stylist spot. We just want to do a decent job so people come back next month. There’s usually some tea being made in the back. We just take things one customer at a time. It’s a small business, run by real people who live and work in this part of Ahmedabad. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but we’re still here.
