My Nicky Parlour

My Nicky Parlour is over in Vejalpur, taking up shops 135 and 136 in the Shreyas Complex. We are right opposite Sahaj Silicon, which is easy to find if you know the area. Having two shop spaces gives us a bit more room to breathe, but it’s still just a regular parlour. We don't have any fancy receptionists or uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable for a long day of work. Most of the time, we are busy with hair or skin stuff for the ladies in the neighborhood. The walls have some simple decor, but mostly it is just shelves with bottles and jars. We spend a lot of time talking with the customers about their kids or the price of groceries. It feels more like a community spot than a business sometimes. We have the usual chairs that lean back and the sinks for washing hair. Sometimes the pipes act up, or we need to get more cotton pads from the store nearby. It is just the reality of running a small place. We open up early and stay until the last person is done. There is no big secret to how we work; we just use our hands and try to be careful. The lighting is okay, and we keep a small radio in the corner. It is a humble place in a quiet part of Vejalpur. We just do our thing every day.
