Mount Carmel High School

Our school is a well-known part of Navrangpura, having been in this area for a very long time. It is a busy part of the city, and we are right in the thick of it. The building itself has a lot of history, which you can see in the thick walls and the old-style windows. We have tried to keep things looking decent over the years, though it definitely has that lived-in feel. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and large chalkboards, and we still use them every single day. We don't have a lot of the high-tech equipment that newer schools use, but our way of doing things seems to work just fine. The staff room is a place where we catch up on work and talk about our families over lunch. It is a very down-to-earth environment. During the day, the sounds of Navrangpura filter in through the gates, but we stay focused on the classes. We don't spend a lot of time on fancy presentations or promotional events. Most of our day is taken up by teaching, grading, and keeping the building in good shape. The stairs are a bit worn from all the students walking up and down, but we think that gives the place some soul. We are just a group of people who enjoy working in this neighborhood and keeping the school going for everyone. It is a simple life, but it keeps us very busy from Monday through Saturday.
