This office is Mott Macdonald.India, based in B-105, Amrapali III, over in the Bodakdev area of Ahmedabad. Satellite is one of those places that never really sleeps, and we’re right in the middle of it. Our unit is on the first floor, so we see a lot of the street life from our window. It’s a standard office layout, nothing that would win any design awards, but it serves its purpose. We have some sturdy desks, a few chairs that have been around for years, and a printer that sometimes acts up. We don't really care about having a polished look. What matters is that we show up and do the work we’re supposed to do. The atmosphere is pretty casual; we don't wear suits or have big boardrooms. Most days involve a lot of typing and the occasional loud conversation when we’re trying to solve a problem. There are plenty of food places around Amrapali, so lunch is never a problem. The traffic on the way to Satellite 15 can be a bit much in the mornings, but that’s just part of living in the city. We’ve grown fond of this little corner of the building. It’s got everything we need to stay productive without any of the extra fluff you see in corporate offices. It is just a regular group of people doing their jobs every day. It feels real here.
