Mott Macdonald Pvt Limited is set up here in Ahmedabad at 8 188 Sundernagar Society. It is right near the Naranpura Crossroad, which is a busy part of town. Our office is more like a house in a society than a cold office building. It makes the workday feel a bit more comfortable. We have been here for a while and the locals know us. We do a lot of engineering consulting from these rooms. There are blueprints and schedules pinned up all over the walls. It isn't a place for show; it's a place for working. We grab some snacks from the nearby vendors when we have a minute to breathe. The vibe is very practical and straightforward. We handle various infrastructure projects that come through this part of Gujarat. You can hear the sounds of the street outside, the rickshaws and people going about their business. We like being part of the local scene rather than being tucked away in some gated tech park. It is a honest way to work. Most of us have been in this industry for years, so we just get on with it. Every day is different, but the goal is always the same: get the designs finished and the reports filed.
