The office here in Ahmedabad is located in the Sakarii building over in Ellisbridge. It’s a pretty central area, which helps when we have to go out for site visits or meet people for lunch. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a bit, and it’s become our second home really. The fifth floor gives us a bit of a view, though it’s mostly just other buildings and the street noise below. We are part of the Mott Macdonald India group, but this specific branch focuses on whatever comes across our desks here in Gujarat. Most of the staff live nearby, so the commute isn't too terrible unless the rain starts coming down hard. Inside, it’s mostly just desks covered in papers and coffee mugs. We don't have a big reception area or anything flashy because we’d rather just get to the work. It’s engineering stuff mostly, lots of calculating and looking at computer screens for hours. We try to keep things organized, but on busy days, the office can get a little messy with all the maps and documents. People here are friendly enough, and we usually take our breaks together when we can. It’s a simple routine of coming in, checking the emails, and finishing the project files. We don’t really bother with fancy talk about what we do, we just make sure the jobs get finished. It’s a practical place for practical people who know their way around a project.
