The shop is tucked into Gavar Complex, specifically shop G19/1. Being right near the Rajasthan Hospital road means there is always traffic and people moving about. We’ve been at this spot in Shahibaug for quite some time now, watching the neighborhood change. Most folks find us easily because we are right across from the Radha Krishna temple. It’s a landmark that everyone knows. Inside, things are pretty straightforward. We have the usual chairs and mirrors, nothing too flashy. We focus on cutting hair and doing the regular stuff people need. It’s mostly locals who come in, people who live nearby or work at the hospital. We know most of our regulars by name. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy with hair on the floor when we are busy, but we sweep up as fast as we can. It’s a small space, so it feels a bit tight when four or five people are waiting. We don't really do the whole fancy booking thing. People just walk in, say hello, and wait for a chair to open up. It’s a bit of a routine. In the summers, the Ahmedabad sun is brutal, so we make sure the cooling is working right. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town. We just want to do a decent job so people keep coming back. Life in the shop is mostly about simple conversations and making sure the scissors are sharp. That's about it really.
